Major Upgrade to the Linkedin Mobile Apps – Will You Use It?

New Linkedin App! Completely Upgraded, Very Elegant…

Last night Linkedin released a major upgrade to their iPhone and Android applications. Actually I wouldn’t call it an upgrade as these applications have been completely redone to be used exclusively while your mobile.

Linkedin designers have decided to code their entire application line in HTML 5 and I think the new app came out very nice. Not everyone will agree and I even heard a few people who were missing the old layout already but give this new Linkedin app a try.

Why did they redesign their app?

Most app developers are moving towards HTML 5, the new web standard in coding websites, especially for mobile browsing. Their new app will work across the board on any mobile device or tablet.

“You now have a tool to network from anywhere on any device or any tablet.”

Check out the screenshot of my new home page. It’s laid out nice and neat. Your Network updates are in the upper left, your profile page is in the upper right, your inbox is easily accessible from the lower left and you can easily go in and out of all the groups you have subscribed to in the lower right of your homescreen.

There are a ton of other new changes too so check out the new Linkedin app. It’s takes some getting used to but with all of linkedin easily available on your mobile devices you may network to that next job sooner than you think.

What do you think of the new Linkedin App? Have you upgraded yet?
